Agreement
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of NEXUS Media Engine, including the web application, extraction interfaces, worker-backed processing pipeline, API endpoints, and related services. By creating an account, accessing the platform, or submitting a media request, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
Service Description
NEXUS Media Engine is a high-performance media extraction and delivery platform built on Next.js, FastAPI, Supabase, and a Celery-backed worker system. The service helps users retrieve metadata, inspect supported media formats, and request lawful downloads from supported sources such as YouTube, Vimeo, and Dailymotion. Features, performance, and source availability may change without notice as upstream platforms evolve.
Eligibility and Account Security
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract under applicable law and must keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including API usage, download requests, payment events, and team access. We may require identity or ownership verification where risk, abuse, or chargeback exposure is elevated.
Plans and Commercial Structure
NEXUS Media Engine may offer Free, Pro, and Premium plans. Free plans may include reduced throughput, stricter concurrency, lower rate limits, or restricted feature access. Pro plans may include higher extraction volume, improved queue priority, and expanded format access. Premium plans may include highest-priority execution, elevated operational limits, and enterprise-style support. Plan entitlements, pricing, and usage ceilings may be updated prospectively.
Billing and Razorpay
Paid subscriptions and one-time transactions may be processed by Razorpay or another designated payment processor. We do not store full card numbers. Billing disputes, failed renewals, tax treatment, invoice timing, refunds, and mandate handling are subject to the applicable payment flow, our commercial policy, and mandatory consumer law. Non-payment, chargebacks, or suspected fraud may result in suspension or downgrade of service.
Fair Use, Copyright, and Platform Responsibility
You may only use NEXUS Media Engine for lawful purposes and only where you have the legal right to access, reproduce, store, transform, or download the requested content. You remain solely responsible for determining whether your activity is authorized by the original rights holder, platform terms, local law, fair dealing, fair use, educational exceptions, or another legal basis. The platform is a neutral technical tool and does not grant copyright licenses. You must not use the service to infringe intellectual property rights, bypass contractual restrictions unlawfully, or distribute protected material without authorization. We reserve the right to refuse, block, remove, or investigate requests that present elevated infringement or abuse risk.
Acceptable Use
You must not use the platform to violate law, abuse upstream services, interfere with network integrity, scrape personal data unlawfully, evade security or geographic restrictions in a prohibited manner, distribute malware, overload the queue, or automate extraction at volumes inconsistent with your plan. You must not reverse engineer the service except where non-waivable law permits it. Shared credentials, reselling without authorization, and attempts to bypass subscription controls are prohibited.
API Usage and Rate Limits
API access may be subject to authentication, quota windows, concurrency caps, burst thresholds, payload validation, and anti-abuse controls. We may apply soft or hard limits by account, IP address, token, device fingerprint, plan tier, or traffic pattern. Exceeding rate limits may result in throttling, queuing, temporary blocking, or permanent revocation. We may also reserve emergency controls to protect infrastructure, payment integrity, and upstream provider relationships.
Queue Execution, Delivery, and Availability
Extraction and download requests may be executed asynchronously through a Celery-backed worker queue and may pass through validation, enrichment, processing, temporary storage, and signed delivery stages. Queue depth, upstream source latency, and external platform restrictions can affect completion time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, or universal support for any source, format, codec, or delivery method.
Proxy Usage and Provider Controls
To maintain service continuity, the platform may use managed proxy infrastructure, including residential or equivalent routing services, for certain requests where direct extraction is unreliable or rate-limited by upstream providers. Such routing is an internal operational control and may be selectively enabled, disabled, or restricted by source, geography, abuse score, or plan. You may not attempt to inspect, misuse, resell, or interfere with our proxy stack or provider relationships.
Privacy and Data Handling
Use of the service is also governed by the NEXUS Media Engine Privacy Policy. Supabase may provide authentication, session handling, and core data storage. Operational logs, extraction metadata, error telemetry, queue events, and payment references may be processed to operate, secure, and improve the service. We handle personal data in line with applicable privacy law, including the Indian DPDP Act and, where applicable, the GDPR.
Intellectual Property
The NEXUS Media Engine brand, interface design, software, workflow logic, documentation, and platform content are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other laws. Except for the limited right to use the service in accordance with these Terms, no license is granted to copy, modify, distribute, or exploit our materials without prior written consent.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, rate-limit, downgrade, or terminate access immediately if we reasonably suspect abuse, infringement, illegal activity, payment failure, security threats, harmful automation, or violations of these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time. Termination does not affect accrued payment obligations, indemnity duties, or provisions that by their nature survive termination.
Disclaimers
The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that extraction will succeed for every URL, that upstream content will remain accessible, that formats or metadata will always be accurate, or that the platform will operate without interruption, delay, or third-party blocking. Source platforms may modify behavior at any time and can affect outcomes beyond our control.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NEXUS Media Engine and its operators, affiliates, vendors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, or procurement of substitute services. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the amount paid by you to us for the service during the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or INR 10,000 if no such payment was made, whichever is greater.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NEXUS Media Engine and its affiliates, personnel, contractors, and infrastructure partners from and against claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content requests, your use of the service, your breach of these Terms, your infringement of any third-party rights, or your violation of law.
Governing Law and International Users
Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Courts of competent jurisdiction in India will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to the service, subject to any non-waivable rights available to consumers in their home jurisdictions. International users are responsible for ensuring that their use of the platform is lawful where they access it.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect legal, technical, operational, or commercial changes. Material updates may be communicated through the website, account notices, or email where appropriate. Continued use of the service after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Questions about these terms, account practices, or a rights-holder request can be directed through the official NEXUS Media Engine support channels.
